Mango Languages -- an online learning system that offers self-directed learning of over 50 languages

1. First time access:  create a profile (personal account):
  • use the library's proxied link on this page or Databases A-Z
  • register with your @saic.edu email address
  • choose your own Mango password
2. Subsequent access:
  • use the library's proxied link on this page or Databases A-Z
    • (or optional aps for phone, etc., if provided)
  • login with your @saic.edu email and Mango password

 

Troubleshooting Mango Languages

Adjust microphone settings on your computer (must be ALL the way up)

Upgrade to latest Flash and reboot

Login with your @saic.edu email once you've created a profile

 

 

Pronunciator Language Lab -- uses quizzes, speech recognition, and virtual conversations to teach over 80 languages

1. First time access: register your personal account:
  • use the library's proxied link on this page or Databases A-Z
  • register with your @saic.edu email address
  • Pronunciator creates a username/password, both can be changed
2. Subsequent access:
  • use the library's proxied link on this page or Databases A-Z
    • (or optional aps for phone, etc., if provided)
  • login with your Pronunciator username/password

Need a web browser with JavaScript enabled, and Flash version 10.0 or higher
