Welcome to the Studio Arts research guide! Using the left navigation, you'll find advice on where and how to find resources specific to this discipline. Remember you can always contact flaxman@saic.edu if you need any help!

QUICK TIPS

  • Remember to use quotation marks around any search that has two or more terms, like movements, names, or titles of work. Example: "Kerry James Marshall"
  • When searching for a topic, try and generate a few alternative words that might also produce results.
  • Example: Embroidery (original idea), Fiber Arts, Cross Stitching, Textiles
  • Utilize other resources to generate keywords such as Thesaurus.com, Instagram Hashtags, or visual databases such as Artstor (first time users and previously registered users)
