How to Request Unavailable Resources (Interlibrary Loan)

1. Navigate to the library homepage at www.saic.edu/library. Once there, type the resource's title in the search box and click the Magnifying Glass.

2. This will bring you to a results page. Before scrolling through your results, click Sign In and enter your ARTIC username and password.

3. If you do not see your item, it may not be available through our collection - next, make sure it's not available through an alternate source:

  • If it is a book > repeat your search in the IShare Catalog to see if you can request a copy; if not, proceed to step 4
  • If it is an article > repeat your search in Google Scholar to see if a copy is openly available online; if not, proceed to step 4
  • If it is something else > proceed to step 4

4. If you are still unable to find the item, return to the the library search and click INTERLIBRARY LOAN REQUEST in the top menu bar

5. Fill out all information marked with a red star and submit the form - you're done!
