The Low-Res Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series resource guides contain upcoming speakers' biographies, articles, video and audio content, related publications in the Flaxman Library, and additional online resources. These guides may be used in preparation for the public lecture, studio visits, and post-lecture discussion.

Holly Hughes is a writer and performer whose fearless exploration of queer/lesbian/feminist identity has won them both accolades and congressionally lobbed rotten tomatoes. A Guggenheim fellow, they have received two Obie Awards, 5 fellowships from the NEA, a Lambda Book Award, GLAAD Media Award, and their work has been presented at venues including the Whitney Museum, the New Museum, Yale Rep, Woolly Mammoth, On the Boards, as well as international venues. Currently, they are faculty at the Stamps School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan where they direct the BFA in Interarts Performance.
