The Low-Res Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series resource guides contain upcoming speakers' biographies, articles, video and audio content, related publications in the Flaxman Library, and additional online resources. These guides may be used in preparation for the public lecture, studio visits, and post-lecture discussion.

Meredith Talusan is a multidisciplinary artist best known to the general public as an author and journalist. Her debut memoir, Fairest, was a 2020 Lambda Literary Award finalist and named a best book of the year by multiple venues. She has contributed to ten other books and written articles for The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Guardian, and WIRED among many outlets. Her short stories appear in Guernica, Kenyon Review, Boston Review, Epoch,The Rumpus, Grand, Catapult, and BLR. She has received awards and fellowships from Creative Capital, MacDowell, GLAAD, The Society of Professional Journalists, and the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association. She is also the founding executive editor of them., Condé Nast’s LGBTQ+ digital platform. As a photographer, she has exhibited in Boston, San Francisco, and New York, and has photographed stories for VICE, BuzzFeed News, Medium, and other outlets. She received an MA in comparative literature and an MFA in fiction from Cornell, and an MFA in photography from the California College of the Arts.
