Low-Res Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series Research Guides

INTRODUCTION

The Low-Res Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series resource guides contain upcoming speakers' biographies, articles, video and audio content, related publications in the Flaxman Library, and additional online resources. These guides are presented to students in May 2025, prior to the residency, and may be used in preparation for the public lecture, studio visits, and post-lecture discussion.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Black and white headshot of K.ari.n Schneider.K.ari.n Schneider is a Brazil-born and New York-based artist, filmmaker, and educator. Her practice involves creating programs and operations referred to as Situational Diagrams. She has co-founded multiple collective projects, including UGP (Union Gaucha Productions), the cooperative gallery Orchard, Cage, and Ortivi. Schneider is part of the Faculty of the Yale School of Art and guided two seminars at CCS Bard College. Her work is in several Museum Collections.
